The aircraft safely returned to &#8220;Macedonia&#8221; Airport in Thessaloniki after the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to local media reports, oxygen masks automatically dropped inside the cabin, while passengers tried to hold onto a 61-year-old Serbian national who was sitting next to the damaged window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One passenger who was on the plane told Radio Thessaloniki 94.5 that a loud bang was heard during the flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;It sounded like a tire had burst. Panic broke out, people were screaming and crying for help because we immediately began losing altitude due to the decompression. At one point I thought someone had accidentally opened the emergency exit. Luckily, he had not unfastened his seat belt. His head was completely outside the plane. The girls sitting next to him were pulling him back in. Several doctors also came over to help him,&#8221; she recounted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President of the Panhellenic Federation of Public Hospital Employees (POEDIN) Mihalis Giannakos assessed that the incident could have ended tragically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;A 61-year-old Serbian national is currently in AHEPA Hospital with friction burns he suffered during the flight to Munich. The plane window broke, his body went outside, and his wife held his legs so he would not be pulled out. With the help of numerous passengers, they managed to pull him back into the cabin,&#8221; Giannakos said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Greek media report that the injured passenger was transported to the AHEPA University Hospital in Thessaloniki, where he was conscious and underwent examinations for neck injuries and friction burns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A pregnant woman from the same aircraft was also taken preventively to Hippocrates Hospital. After an ultrasound examination, she was released home, as doctors found no complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Official aviation authorities have so far not confirmed reports that cabin decompression occurred or that the passenger&#8217;s body was partially outside the aircraft.
