A months-long investigation by Austrian police has led to the solving of a brutal robbery targeting an 88-year-old pensioner in the town of Langenzersdorf, in the Korneuburg district of Lower Austria. Two Serbian nationals are suspected of carrying out the attack. According to investigators, they broke into the elderly woman’s home in December 2025 and seriously injured her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to a police statement, the suspects arrived at the pensioner’s home at around 9:00 a.m. on December 18 under the pretense of carrying out plumbing work. As soon as they entered the house, they attacked the elderly woman, knocked her to the floor, tied her up with bed linen and clothing, and then beat her with their hands and feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the search immediately following the attack yielded no results, an extensive investigation by the Lower Austria State Criminal Police Office eventually led investigators to the suspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first suspect, who was 18 years old at the time of the crime, was arrested in Vienna on April 8 while allegedly attempting to carry out another violent home invasion.
