Athletes of Serbia won four medals at the Balkan Championship for younger juniors in Novo Mesto.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The national team of Serbia won three silver and one bronze medal in Slovenia, along with a large number of placements in the finals and performances that encourage before the continuation of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The silver medals were reached by Petar \u010cvoki\u0107 in the discus throw (1.5 kg) with a throw of 54.02 m, which also fulfilled the norm for the European Championship for younger juniors (U18), Martina Bur\u010der in the discus throw with a result of 46.39 m, as well as Ivan Pajki\u0107, who cleared 2.07 m in the high jump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bronze medal was won by the men’s 4\u00d7100 m relay team consisting of Uro\u0161 Brankovi\u0107, Lazar Stojiljkovi\u0107, Stefan \u0110ura, and Petar Tihojevi\u0107, which crossed the finish line in 43.34 seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to the medal winners, Serbian national team members achieved several other notable placements. Maksim Hase\u010di\u0107 took fourth place in the 3,000 m with a result of 9:24.60, while Mia Janji\u0107 in the high jump (1.68 m), Jana Sto\u0161i\u0107 in the shot put (14.76 m), and Martina Bur\u010der in the hammer throw (54.58 m) finished the competition in fifth position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seventh-placed were An\u0111ela Cvetkovi\u0107 in the long jump, Nikola Beri\u0107 in the hammer throw, and Ognjen Popov, who won in his qualification group in the 800 m and finished the competition in seventh place in the overall standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the top ten were also Andreja Radisavljevi\u0107 (8th place, triple jump), Novak Peri\u0161i\u0107 (8th place, 2,000 m steeplechase), Lazar Stojiljkovi\u0107 (9th place, long jump), Jana Lov\u010devi\u0107 (9th place in the shot put and 4th place in the discus throw), Mona Pavlovi\u0107 (9th place, triple jump), \u0110or\u0111e Ristanovi\u0107 (10th place, javelin throw), Kaid Koca (10th place, 1,500 m), Ma\u0161a Krizmani\u0107 (11th place, 800 m), Aleksa Bajin (11th place in the 400 m), Mihajlo Rakovi\u0107 (11th place, triple jump), as well as numerous other national team members who worthily represented Serbia in a strong regional competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the competition program, but out of competition (VK), Lena Bogdanovi\u0107, Na\u0111a Savi\u0107, and Stefan \u0110ura also performed in disciplines that were not in the official program of the Balkan Championship. Bogdanovi\u0107 achieved an excellent time of 58.71 seconds in the 400 m hurdles, Savi\u0107 cleared 3.25 m in the pole vault, while \u0110ura ran 57.70 seconds in the 400 m hurdles, confirming good form before the upcoming competitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
