The first vote on the amendments is scheduled for today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Representatives of the parliamentary majority stated that the constitutional amendments must not become &#8220;a stumbling block at the very end of Montenegro&#8217;s European path,&#8221; while the opposition once again called on the government to respond to its platform for resolving the country&#8217;s political crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Current and Former Governments Voting for the Constitutional Amendments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to announcements, the constitutional amendments will be supported not only by the parliamentary majority led by Prime Minister <strong>Milojko Spaji\u0107<\/strong> and Mandi\u0107&#8217;s NSD, but also by <strong>Milo \u0110ukanovi\u0107&#8217;s<\/strong> Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS). We must demonstrate that we have the strength and unity to secure a two-thirds majority,&#8221; said Mandi\u0107, who until recently was regarded as one of the two most prominent leaders of the Serbian community in Montenegro, alongside Milan Kne\u017eevi\u0107.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kne\u017eevi\u0107: A Document That Does Not Recognize the Serbian Language as Official<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, Kne\u017eevi\u0107 said these are &#8220;not constitutional amendments at all, but the voodoo sorcery of the parliamentary majority attempting to revive the political zombie <strong>Ranko Krivokapi\u0107<\/strong>, who, despite being politically dead, with his wavy hair, remains in government, collects a salary, and pursues the most anti-Serbian policy in Montenegro.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;These &#8216;constitutional amendments&#8217; are his life&#8217;s work, the most anti-Serbian document in Montenegro&#8217;s history. A document that does not recognize the Serbian language as an official language, a document that does not recognize the tricolor as the national flag, a document that does not allow dual citizenship, a document whose anthem was written by the convicted war criminal Sekula Drljevi\u0107, and a document that not a single Serbian MP voted for in 2007,&#8221; Kne\u017eevi\u0107 said in Parliament.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He then continued in a similar tone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Today, almost 20 years after the adoption of this most anti-Serbian document, the parliamentary majority, gathered around the chief wizard from Ribnica, <strong>Johann Sattler<\/strong>, is performing its voodoo dance, trying to resurrect the political zombie Ranko Krivokapi\u0107, thereby once again taking a shot at <strong>Vuk Karad\u017ei\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Njego\u0161<\/strong>, <strong>Marko Miljanov<\/strong>, <strong>Jovan Du\u010di\u0107<\/strong>, <strong>Milo\u0161 Crnjanski<\/strong>, and the Serbian language itself, while declaring the Serbian people genocidal for the third time in this Parliament, and branding Serbia and the Serbian Orthodox Church as occupiers,&#8221; Kne\u017eevi\u0107 stated.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Milatovi\u0107 Welcomes Agreement Between Government and Opposition<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, the office of Montenegrin President <strong>Jakov Milatovi\u0107<\/strong> welcomed the agreement reached between the ruling majority and the opposition on the constitutional amendments, describing it as an important step toward fulfilling Montenegro&#8217;s obligations under its European agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We expect Parliament, during the same session, to also vote on the appointment of the two remaining judges of the Constitutional Court.
