During his testimony, he described in detail the events of the fatal night of May 12, as well as the relationship between Saša Vuković, known as Boske, who has confessed to the killing, and the victim. Stanković admitted before prosecutors that he helped Vuković after the shooting.

Stanković is among the individuals detained in connection with the murder of Aleksandar Nešović. Eleven people have been arrested in the case, including alleged gunman Saša Vuković Boske. Former Belgrade police chief Veselin Milić was also detained during the investigation on suspicion of failing to report a criminal offense.

Stanković was questioned again last week by prosecutors. He was with Vuković on the day of the killing and is suspected of assisting him after the crime.

At the beginning of his testimony, Stanković described his close relationship with Vuković.

“Saša Vuković is my best friend. We’ve known each other for more than 15 years and we’re practically like brothers,” he said.

According to Stanković, tensions between Vuković and Nešović began to grow during the summer of 2025.

“I feel that’s when they started drifting apart and their relationship cooled. In November 2025 they had a joint problem involving a third person, after which Saša went on a trip. We often used to meet for coffee at the ‘Rustik’ café in Senjak, where the whole group would gather without making any special arrangements. I continued going there occasionally and would still see Nešović. After someone attempted to kill Nešović on January 31, I left on a trip myself. When I returned, I saw him almost every day around February 5, 6, 7 and 8, and that was when I first heard him personally expressing grievances about Saša. I tried to ease the tensions, but I realized my words carried no weight. After that I saw Nešović much less often, partly because he completely changed his routine after the attack, even buying an armored vehicle. Once Saša returned from his trip, I learned from him that the tensions between the two had escalated,” Stanković told prosecutors.

He added that Vuković repeatedly told him the relationship between the two men had become increasingly strained.

“Saša was carrying a growing sense of unease and wanted to resolve everything through a conversation,” Stanković said.

The fatal night at the restaurant

Speaking about May 12, 2026, Stanković said he and Vuković spent the day driving to several locations before going that evening to Restaurant “27,” where they met Veselin Milić and several other people.

“Saša spoke with Veselin, who was already at Restaurant ’27,’ and invited me to come with him. I only knew Milić casually and wasn’t really part of their social circle. I saw Saša talking to someone on the phone, and afterward he told me he had spoken to Milić, who was sitting in the restaurant with friends and had invited him for a drink. We went there. Veselin was with several people—one man named Boško, whom I knew only casually and who I believe is a lawyer, and another man I met that evening, Sale Adok, although I think Adok is actually the name of his company. We sat down together, chatting casually while music played in the restaurant. At one point Veselin received a phone call and then asked the three of us to leave because they had some private matters to discuss. I think I heard someone mention that Nešović was about to arrive. As we were leaving, Saša asked me to stop by Danka’s place to pick up some money for him so he wouldn’t have to bother his security guys since I was already heading out. I don’t know whether he spoke with her before or after telling me. Boško, Adok and I left. I said goodbye to Boško and went to Danka’s,” he testified.

After some time, Stanković said he left the restaurant to collect a bag from Danka that he was supposed to deliver to Vuković.

“It was a black plastic bag. I didn’t look inside, but it seemed to contain money,” he said.

He stated that he returned to the restaurant and handed the bag to Vuković, where Vuković, Nešović and Milić were sitting together. After delivering it, he left and drove toward Cerak. During the drive, he received a call from an unknown number.

“Saša called me. He sounded very upset. I asked him, ‘What happened? Is there a problem?’ He told me he had shot and killed Nešović. I was shocked and frightened—I never expected anything like that. I turned my car around because I thought he was still there and drove back to the restaurant as quickly as I could,” Stanković said.

He added:

“Saša called me again while I was just outside the restaurant. He asked where I was, whether the police had arrived, and begged me to go inside, see what was happening, and collect his belongings. I entered through the side entrance after the owner, Lule, opened the door. Inside I saw Nešović sitting at the table. He was dead.”

According to Stanković, Nešović was sitting with his head resting on the table.

“Lule and I started clearing away glasses and collecting shell casings. Saša arrived shortly afterward, and together we wrapped the body in a blanket, carried it out through the side entrance, and loaded it into Lule’s car,” he said.

“I threw away the shell casings, the watch and the cigar butts”

Stanković also described what allegedly happened after the body was removed from the restaurant.

“We were full of adrenaline. We’d been drinking heavily and didn’t immediately know what to do. Saša called his sister and asked for the phone number of his brother Dejan,” he said.

He added that while driving toward Pazova, he disposed of evidence.

“From the Ostružnica Bridge I threw away some shell casings, Nešović’s fitness watch and cigar butts. I removed the fitness watch while I was alone in the vehicle on the way to Pazova,” he testified.

“Saša deeply regretted it”

According to Stanković, after everything that happened they met again at the restaurant in Senjak before driving toward Pazova and later toward Šabac. He also said he stayed with Vuković continuously until their arrests.

“Saša and I separated briefly, but then met again and remained together until we were arrested. We went to Pazova. He spent most of the time making phone calls, although I don’t know to whom. By then the effects of the alcohol had worn off, and I noticed that Saša deeply regretted everything that had happened. Later we met Dejan again. I no longer remember the exact sequence of events because we drove toward Šabac, where Saša was supposed to collect some money from a friend. At one point he and Dejan were in another car talking, while later all three of us traveled together. We had Lule’s Hyundai Santa Fe and Dejan’s Fiat Punto. We even dozed off in the car. Eventually we left the Santa Fe behind. Saša contacted one of his godfathers, and we went to his company in Surčin. Dejan left us there, and he was nearby when we were arrested,” he said.

Discussing forensic evidence found on his clothing, Stanković said he did not know how gunshot residue had ended up there.

“I assume the particles on my hands came from the shell casings I was picking up,” he stated.

During his testimony, Stanković also spoke about the relationship between Vuković and former Belgrade police chief Veselin Milić.

“I know that Milić and Vuković were close friends. Their families socialized together. I remember Milić attending Danka’s birthday celebration, and I believe their children even attend the same school,” he said.

Asked about Vuković, Stanković also stated that his friend was always armed.

“Vuković always carried a weapon, especially during the last five or six months. On that particular day he had been armed since the morning,” Stanković concluded.

Body buried

Aleksandar Nešović was shot and killed on May 12 at Restaurant “27” in Senjak.

His body was discovered a week later buried in the village of Jarkovac. Nešović was widely believed to have been a member of the criminal group led by Dejan Stojanović, known as Keka.

MORE TOPICS:

THE KARAĐORĐEVIĆS AWOKE THE DIASPORA IN CHICAGO: “Serbia should return to its tradition, to be a monarchy again!” (VIDEO)

SERBIAN AMONG THE VICTIMS IN A PLANE CRASH: Skydiving instructor Filip Kovačević killed in an accident in France!

“IF HE DOES NOT GIVE UP, HE IS GOING TO THE CEMETERY”: Kokeza hired criminals to attack Nemanja Vidić, scandalous messages revealed!

GREAT INITIATIVE FROM ENGLAND: How to most easily teach your children in the diaspora to write and read Cyrillic!
