The body of 23-year-old police officer Bogdan T., who had been reported missing, was found today in Le\u0161nica near Drina Bay, close to the town of Loznica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The body was recovered from the water not far from the location where the young man is believed to have drowned, the \u0160abac Police Department told Tanjug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His disappearance was reported yesterday, prompting members of Serbia’s Ministry of the Interior and firefighters to launch a search operation. Today, divers from the Gendarmerie also joined the search efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As previously reported, the missing young man had been spending time on the river with friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to available information, he suddenly began to drown and disappeared beneath the river’s waves. His friends were unable to help him, especially since the river’s water level rose by as much as three meters in a very short period of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
