(PHOTO)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><em>The head coach of the men&#8217;s national basketball team of Serbia, Du\u0161an Alimpijevi\u0107, has determined the roster of 18 candidates for the June-July FIBA qualification window for the World Cup, and the team will be led by Denver center Nikola Joki\u0107, the KSS announced.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serbia is expected to play two matches to end the first phase of qualifications for the World Cup, namely on July 2 against Switzerland away and four days later against Bosnia and Herzegovina in Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The roster includes: Vasilije Mici\u0107 (Hapoel), Aleksa Avramovi\u0107 (Dubai), Stefan Miljenovi\u0107 (Crvena zvezda), Jovan Novak (King Szczecin), Arijan Laki\u0107 (Partizan), Filip Barna (FMP), Ognjen Dobri\u0107 (Crvena zvezda), Nikola \u0110uri\u0161i\u0107 (Crvena zvezda), Nemanja Dangubi\u0107 (Dubai), Dejan Davidovac (Crvena zvezda), Stefan Momirov (Spartak), Tristan Vuk\u010devi\u0107 (Washington), Nikola Tanaskovi\u0107 (Budu\u0107nost), Nikola Jovi\u0107 (Miami), Strahinja Gavrilovi\u0107 (Igokea), Nikola Joki\u0107 (Denver), Du\u0161an Risti\u0107 (Kawasaki Brave Thunders), and Uro\u0161 Plav\u0161i\u0107 (Bordeaux).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the coaching staff, along with head coach Alimpijevi\u0107, will be Vladimir Jovanovi\u0107, Ognjen Stojakovi\u0107, Milenko Bogi\u0107evi\u0107, and Tomislav Tomovi\u0107. The team manager is Neboj\u0161a Ili\u0107, the kit manager is Jovica Ani\u010di\u0107, and the PR manager is Nina Kolund\u017eija.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The national team of Serbia will gather on June 22 at the start of preparations. On June 27 in Belgrade, Serbian basketball players will play a preparatory match against the Czech Republic, which will be closed to the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Serbia is expected to play two matches to end the first phase of qualifications for the 2027 World Cup. On July 2, Serbian basketball players will visit the national team of Switzerland in Fribourg, and four days later they will host the national team of BiH in Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first place in the standings of Group C of the first phase of qualifications for the 2027 World Cup is held by Turkey with eight points, while Serbia and BiH have six each.
