Following the dismissal of part of the criminal complaint against former Belgrade police chief Veselin Mili\u0107, specifically the section relating to the criminal offense of assisting a perpetrator after the commission of a crime in the case of the murder of Aleksandar Ne\u0161ovi\u0107 Baja in Belgrade, students participating in the blockade protests have also reacted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe prosecution has just confirmed that it functions as the private servant of the top leadership of the Interior Ministry. The dismissal of the complaint against Veselin Mili\u0107 is not a legal decision, but brutal complicity in covering up a murder!\u201d the students wrote on social media, adding:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhile they are laundering the reputations of their own officials, we see the truth in the streets: this state has become a den for those with badges, and justice has long been dead. We will not allow them to cover up this crime. The struggle continues,\u201d the students concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier today, the Vi\u0161e javno tu\u017eila\u0161tvo u Beogradu announced that the criminal complaint against Veselin Mili\u0107, the former head of the Belgrade Police Directorate, for assisting a perpetrator after the commission of a crime had been dismissed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mili\u0107 had been accused of removing evidence following the murder of Aleksandar Ne\u0161ovi\u0107 on May 12 at Restaurant \u201c27\u201d in the Senjak neighborhood of Belgrade, a crime for which Sa\u0161a Vukovi\u0107 Boske is suspected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The criminal complaint against Mili\u0107 for concealing a criminal offense has not been dismissed, and the prosecution stated that it continues to gather evidence in that regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier, criminal complaints against three police officers from Veselin Mili\u0107\u2019s security detail were also dismissed. They had likewise been accused of assisting and concealing the crime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Aleksandar Ne\u0161ovi\u0107 was killed on May 12 shortly after 11 p.m. at Restaurant \u201c27,\u201d which, according to his wife, he had visited at the invitation of Veselin Mili\u0107. Sa\u0161a Vukovi\u0107 Boske is suspected of being the direct perpetrator, while Mario S. is suspected of being a co-perpetrator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ne\u0161ovi\u0107\u2019s body was found days later, encased in concrete inside a barrel that had been buried near the village of Jarkovo, close to In\u0111ija.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
