The President of the Municipality of Pljevlja, Dario Vrane\u0161, was questioned by the police because he sang Serbian songs to the gusle in front of the Holy Trinity Monastery in that town at a traditional folk gathering on the occasion of the church slava.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vrane\u0161 stated on Instagram that this did not happen even during the DPS rule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This didn’t even happen during the time of DPS. Yesterday, I was giving a statement at the police station because I sang Serbian songs to the gusle in front of the Holy Trinity Monastery. I have been singing those same songs with my people since 1990, but until now, no one has called me to the police. Right here, in front of our ancient sanctuary from the Nemanji\u0107 era, I learned the first verses of the songs: ‘Who says that, who lies that Serbia is small’, ‘Oh Duke Sin\u0111eli\u0107’, ‘The Serbian trumpet is heard from Kosovo’, ‘From the head of Zeta to the town of Spu\u017e’, and many others. We are from Pljevlja, we sing and we will sing! Next year in Prizren,” Vrane\u0161 wrote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the police Record, he said that on May 31, he was the kum-host of the Temple Slava of the Holy Trinity Monastery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Like every year after the completion of the liturgy and the breaking of the slava cake, a feast of love – lunch for the guests – was arranged on the terrace of the Monastery’s quarters. The slava itself was attended by about 3,000 people, guests, during the day. Throughout the entire day, I sang dozens of Serbian songs to the gusle with the believing Serbian people. Among other things, from the current video recording, I sang the song ‘From the head of Zeta to the town of Spu\u017e’ as well as the song ‘\u0110uri\u0161i\u0107, young major, commander of Montenegro, Montenegro and Sand\u017eak where the five-pointed star cannot go.
