A citizen of the Republic of Serbia has two options available:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Option 1: <\/strong>A Serbian citizen has the possibility to personally visit the nearest diplomatic-consular representation, sign, and certify the Power of Attorney. A power of attorney certified in a diplomatic-consular representation is considered a domestic public document and is not subject to the legalization process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Option 2:<\/strong> A citizen of the Republic of Serbia and a foreign citizen have the possibility to certify the Power of Attorney before the competent foreign authority of the state in which they reside (Notary Public). Sometimes this option is more practical for parties considering the distance of the consular representations of the RS. A document certified by a foreign authority is a foreign public document, and to have validity and application in the Republic of Serbia, it must be legalized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
