Prince-Hereditary Filip attended today, together with his wife Danica, the holy liturgy on the occasion of the temple’s patron saint day at the Church of Saint George at Oplenac, which was served by Metropolitan Jovan of \u0160umadija. The prayer gathering was also attended by members of the Kara\u0111or\u0111evi\u0107 family \u2013 Prince Mihailo and Princess Ljubica with their daughter Natalija, the director of the King Peter I Endowment Dragan Relji\u0107, and numerous believers.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address after the liturgy, Prince-Hereditary Filip emphasized the importance of faith and the spiritual heritage that Oplenac symbolizes for the Serbian people and state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eSaint George teaches us that faith, sacrifice, and perseverance are the foundations on which both the people and the state are built. It was precisely on these values that King Peter I established his endowment at Oplenac, and King Alexander I continued to build it as a place of spiritual unity, national memory, and prayer for the Serbian people,\u201c Prince Filip stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
