The monk had previously complained of poor health, most likely due to cardiac problems, which is why an emergency medical team (EKAV) was called. During the fall, the 48-year-old Serbian citizen sustained severe head injuries. He was returned to the ambulance in an unconscious state and urgently transported to the hospital in Polygyros, where doctors had to intubate him immediately due to the severity of the injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After primary stabilization, the patient was urgently transferred to the &#8220;Ippokratio&#8221; hospital in Thessaloniki, where he was placed in the intensive care unit and remains in critical condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Greek police, in an official capacity, detained the driver and the rescuer from the emergency team on charges of causing bodily harm through negligence. Following their statements, they were released, while the investigation into all circumstances of this unusual and tragic event continues.
