Out of great love for them and a need to provide everyone with happiness and love, Marliz founded a safe home for little ones without parental care.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marliz van Hofen is a Dutchwoman who came from the Netherlands to Doboj 30 years ago, where she has taken in as many as 72 children. Both Christmas and Bayram and Easter are celebrated. The rest of her family celebrates the holidays in the Netherlands, where they are currently located. Her table specifically for Christmas is diverse and she takes a little bit from every culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She believes that food is not the most important thing, nor is where someone celebrates, but rather it is important for it to be &#8220;beautiful, peaceful, and with family.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>-Some people in the Netherlands also make turkey, which is very similar to American culture for Christmas and other holidays. For Christmas, we also celebrate the fact that our savior Jesus was born; through him, we feel peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through his presence and birth, many beautiful things happen and that is central to our lives. Strength is from God, love for our children; I want to provide them with everything I had in my childhood, because I am from a large family. There was always peace in the house, but it was most beautiful for Christmas; I want to teach all children that &#8211; she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even today, she cherishes her family and is in contact with them although they do not all live in the same countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As she says, family is everything and she wants to set an example for her children so that one day they too may establish wonderful families, which will be full of love and attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Marliz currently takes care of three children without parental care, and at one point, she says, there were as many as 14.
