Prince Hereditary Filip Karadjordjevi\u0107 is attending today, together with his wife Princess Danica, the central festivities marking the 80th birthday of His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf, which are being held at the Royal Palace in Stockholm, in the presence of numerous members of European and world royal families.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremonial program began with the arrival of guests at the Royal Palace, after which a traditional Te Deum was served in the Royal Chapel. It was during this ceremony that Prince Filip and Princess Danica had a notable place right next to the Swedish royal family, which further testifies to the close relations between the two dynasties. A special personal dimension is given to this event by a close family connection \u2013 Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria, daughter of the Swedish King, is the wedding godmother of Prince Hereditary Filip and Princess Danica. This godparent relationship contributed to the visible placement of the Serbian couple during the central ceremonies, as well as the cordial atmosphere that followed their participation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The marking of the jubilee continued with a ceremonial change of the guard in the palace’s outer courtyard, as well as a special musical program \u2013 a choral homage in honor of the Swedish King, in which choirs from all over Sweden participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
