A young man, L. \u010c. (22), has been arrested on suspicion of killing an elderly man in New Belgrade today.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Members of the police in Belgrade, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office, in a swift and efficient action, identified and arrested L.\u010c. (22) due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of aggravated murder,” it was announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He is suspected of inflicting multiple blows with a solid object to the head area of an eighty-nine-year-old man today around 12 PM on Jurija Gagarina Street, who died at the scene from the sustained injuries, after which the suspect fled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect L.\u010c. has been detained for up to 48 hours, after which he will be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade along with a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
