A young man, A. \u0110., was arrested in Hrtkovci on suspicion of killing a man with an axe and setting his body on fire.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Members of the police in Ruma and Sremska Mitrovica arrested A. \u0110. (19), due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that he committed the criminal offense of aggravated murder,” it was announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is suspected that during the night of April 19, after an argument and physical conflict, he killed a forty-eight-year-old man with an axe, and that the following night he transported his body to the area of the village of Hrtkovci, poured gasoline over it, and set it on fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through the fast and efficient work of the police, the suspect was arrested and, by order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Sremska Mitrovica, he was detained for up to 48 hours, within which time he will be brought before the prosecutor’s office along with a criminal complaint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
