The president of the anti-system movement Resnica (Truth), Zoran Stevanovi\u0107, was elected today as the president of the Slovenian parliament, after his election was supported by 48 deputies in a secret ballot.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stevanovi\u0107, who is of Serbian origin, was supported according to media reports by the former opposition from the ranks of Janez Jan\u0161a’s Slovenian Democratic Party and New Slovenia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Voting against his election were deputies from the current ruling coalition consisting of the Freedom Movement, Social Democrats, and the Left, who state that this is a prelude to the formation of a fourth Jan\u0161a government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the elections held on March 22, the Resnica movement won five mandates and is considered key to the formation of the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the parliamentary elections, the most mandates went to the Freedom Movement (29), while one less went to the SDS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier today, the constituent session of the 10th convocation of the National Assembly was held, after which the parliamentary mandates were confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
