Partizan Basketball Club spoke out on its official website regarding the death of the legendary Du\u0161ko Vujo\u0161evi\u0107 (67), the famous coach.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vujo\u0161evi\u0107 had serious health problems for a long time, primarily with his kidneys. Last year, he was operated on in Belarus in 2025, and during March of this year, he was admitted to the hospital after his health seriously deteriorated, as problems with his heart and lungs arose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unfortunately, he passed away in Belgrade on April 8, after which Partizan released an emotional statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Vujo\u0161evi\u0107 family and Partizan Basketball Club have received the news that the legendary Du\u0161ko Vujo\u0161evi\u0107 passed away today, April 8! His wife Ana and son Luka confirmed the information everyone had feared after the unrepeatable Black-and-White General’s health condition worsened a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hereby, BC Partizan sends its condolences to the family, and the public will be subsequently informed about the time and place of the commemoration and funeral,” BC Partizan announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vujosevic’s indelible mark on basketball<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Du\u0161ko Vujo\u0161evi\u0107 was born on March 3, 1959. In his coaching career, he led a large number of clubs, among which he left the greatest mark at Partizan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He began his coaching career at OKK Beograd in 1982, and then took over Mladost Zemun. He served his first mandate at Partizan as an assistant from 1985 to 1987, and then independently took over the first team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He then headed to Spain, where he briefly led Oximesa, and then returned to Partizan, before subsequently leading Crvena zvezda. He was at Brescia from 1992 to 1995, and also led Pistoia and Pesaro in Italy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dule’s era at Partizan<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

He returned to Serbian basketball as the coach of Radni\u010dki from Belgrade, and then led Partizan from 2001 to 2010.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those were some of the most successful years in the history of Partizan, with whom he won numerous titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vujo\u0161evi\u0107 was the champion of the ABA League five times with the Black-and-Whites, and also won the championship of Yugoslavia (1), the championship of FR Yugoslavia (2), the championship of Serbia and Montenegro (3), the championship of Serbia (6), as well as<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Cup of Yugoslavia (1), the Cup of FR Yugoslavia (1), and the Radivoj Kora\u0107 Cup (3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Once with Partizan, he was third in the EuroLeague (1987\/88), while in the 2009\/10 season, he won fourth place in Europe with the Black-and-Whites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was named the best EuroLeague coach in the 2008\/09 season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Partizan, he promoted a large number of young players, and Serbian basketball benefited greatly from his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
