A large number of Serbian athletes in the past few years have taken the opportunity and accepted scholarships from American colleges, where they continued to improve their sports careers, but also embarked on a student quest. One of the most successful guys since leaving for the USA is Mihajlo Katani\u0107.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Still a member of Partizan in competitions in Serbia and a talented runner in the 400 and 400-meter hurdles disciplines, he recorded two big victories on the same day at the start of the new outdoor season, during last weekend, for his Texas State. At the Charles Austin Classic in San Marcos, 21-year-old Katani\u0107 recorded a victory in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 52.71 seconds, which is not close to his best, but is decent for the start of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, together with his college relay team, he celebrated in the 4 x 400 meters and thus completed a phenomenal day. If we keep in mind that a week earlier at the UTSA Invitational he was second in the 400 hurdles with a better time of 51.91, and third in the relay, Mihajlo can be very satisfied indeed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
