Members of the Belgrade police, through an efficient operation during the night, identified and arrested B. A. (44), originally from Kosovo and Metohija, on suspicion that he brutally stabbed a forty-seven-year-old woman in Savski Venac last night, “Telegraf.rs” learns exclusively.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

By order of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office (VJT), the suspect B. A. was detained for up to 48 hours. According to initial information from the investigation, he is charged with the criminal offense of attempted aggravated murder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a reminder, last night, without any provocation or previous contact, he assaulted the woman while she was peacefully walking down the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attacked woman was urgently transported to the Emergency Center with severe, life-threatening bodily injuries. The monster inflicted multiple stabs on her in the area of the neck, arms, and back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The victim is in critical condition. The attack was so sudden that the unfortunate woman did not even have time to react before she felt the first stab,” says a source close to the investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although the attacker has been caught, the motive for this cruel act remains shrouded in mystery. According to the statement the victim gave before the surgery, she had never seen the attacker before, which indicates that the victim was chosen randomly, further alarming the public in the capital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is expected that the suspect will be brought for questioning to the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office within the legal deadline, where he will plead to the charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
