Two people were killed and three injured when a ballistic missile was intercepted in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, the city\u2019s media office announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAuthorities in Abu Dhabi responded to an incident in which debris fell in Sweihan Street, following the successful interception of a ballistic missile by the air defense system,\u201d the statement said, published on the official account of the Abu Dhabi Media Office on the social network X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIn the incident, two unidentified individuals were killed, three were injured, and a number of vehicles were also damaged,\u201d the post added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Earlier this week, on Monday, an Indian national living in the UAE was injured by shrapnel after a ballistic missile launched from Iran was intercepted above an industrial zone in Abu Dhabi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local authorities stated that the missile was intercepted near the Al Dhafra air base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
