Longtime sports journalist and reporter who covered the NHL, Jessi Pierce (37), tragically died together with her three children in a fire that engulfed their family home in Minnesota, officials announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The NHL said goodbye to its longtime associate with an emotional message:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe entire NHL family extends its deepest condolences to the Pierce family on the passing of Jessi Pierce and her three young children. Jessi loved our sport and was a valued member of the NHL.com team for a full decade.
