{"id":203667,"date":"2026-03-08T16:45:38","date_gmt":"2026-03-08T14:45:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/?p=203667"},"modified":"2026-03-08T16:45:40","modified_gmt":"2026-03-08T14:45:40","slug":"rejected-for-the-second-time-united-sevojno-list-dismissed-heres-the-reason","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/rejected-for-the-second-time-united-sevojno-list-dismissed-heres-the-reason\/","title":{"rendered":"REJECTED FOR THE SECOND TIME: \u201cUnited-Sevojno\u201d list dismissed, here\u2019s the reason!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Election Commission of the Sevojno City Municipality rejected the electoral list \u201cUnited \u2013 Sevojno\u201d for the elections for the Assembly of the GO Sevojno scheduled for March 29, because, as stated in the decision, it was submitted by an unauthorized person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the decision, the electoral list was submitted by Du\u0161an Mati\u0107 on March 7 at 3:02 p.m., on behalf of the Citizens\u2019 Group United \u2013 Sevojno. \u201cA review of the documentation determined that the electoral list was accompanied by an Agreement on the Formation of the Citizens\u2019 Group United \u2013 Sevojno, in which Stanko \u0106irkovi\u0107 from Sevojno is listed as the person authorized to submit the electoral list,\u201d the decision states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It notes that the person who submitted the list (Du\u0161an Mati\u0107) was not authorized to submit it, nor did he provide a document showing that the authorized person from the coalition agreement had transferred that authority to him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-serbiantimes-info wp-block-embed-serbiantimes-info\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"qDq2DfY88g\"><a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/nato-stize-u-srbiju-zajednicka-vojna-vezba-sa-vojskom-srbije-u-maju-na-poligonu-kod-bujanovca\/\">NATO STI\u017dE U SRBIJU: Zajedni\u010dka vojna ve\u017eba sa Vojskom Srbije u maju na poligonu kod Bujanovca!<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden;\" title=\"&#132;NATO STI\u017dE U SRBIJU: Zajedni\u010dka vojna ve\u017eba sa Vojskom Srbije u maju na poligonu kod Bujanovca!&#147; &#8212; Serbiantimes.info\" src=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/nato-stize-u-srbiju-zajednicka-vojna-vezba-sa-vojskom-srbije-u-maju-na-poligonu-kod-bujanovca\/embed\/#?secret=vgpco9a53T#?secret=qDq2DfY88g\" data-secret=\"qDq2DfY88g\" width=\"500\" height=\"282\" frameborder=\"0\" marginwidth=\"0\" marginheight=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This, as explained in the reasoning, constitutes an \u201cirreparable obstacle for the consideration of the electoral list and a legal basis for its rejection.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The decision of the GO Sevojno Election Commission adds that the submitter of the electoral list may file an objection with the Election Commission within 48 hours of the publication of the decision on the website of the Republic Election Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a reminder, Sevojno citizens gathered last night in front of the City Election Commission in this municipality because, as Du\u0161an Mati\u0107 said, \u201cdark vehicles with Belgrade license plates\u201d were noticed in front of the institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mati\u0107 said last night that they suspected their list would be rejected for the second time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe gathered because we faced obstruction from the City Election Commission when submitting our list for the second time. We came to a situation where we must defend our right. The Municipal Election Commission plans to reject our list due to legal formalities that occurred during the signing of the documents,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As the list leader, Mati\u0107 explained, relying on information from his source in the commission, the list may be rejected because the person listed as the head of the list was not the same when the citizens\u2019 signatures were submitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe founder of the citizens\u2019 group \u2018United for Sevojno\u2019 is Stanko \u0106irkovi\u0107, while I am the submitter and head of the list. My signature is on that paper, and the municipal election commission considers that illegitimate and a sufficient reason to reject the electoral list.
