The chief coordinator of the \u201cLogistics BiH\u201d Consortium, Velibor Peuli\u0107, announced that representatives of transporters from all Balkan countries will define a joint final response on Friday regarding the issues they face due to rules on driver stay within the EU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Peuli\u0107 said that Albania has also joined the transporters\u2019 demands, emphasizing that the coordinators will define a response exclusively for the Balkan states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Regarding the increase in oil and fuel prices due to the crisis in the Middle East, Peuli\u0107 highlighted that rising fuel costs trigger a chain reaction of other price hikes. He explained that the negative effects of the price increase are smaller for transporters who have contracts with companies that include diesel fuel clauses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMost of our companies have such contracts with European companies,\u201d Peuli\u0107 stated in a comment for RTRS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also noted that Bosnia and Herzegovina is the only country in Europe without a VAT refund, and transporters had requested 14 months ago that this issue be addressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
