Air strikes by the American and Israeli military on Iran and the killing of the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have ignited a new powder keg in the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Iranians responded with attacks on American bases across the region, Israel, as well as other targets in countries of the Middle East.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On March 3, the American president said the action could last four to five weeks, but that the US has weapons stockpiles to \u201cfight forever.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While rockets and drones tear through the skies above the Middle East, among many other issues, the question is also opening as to what kind of military conflict this could develop into and how it might end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis is a preventive war whose goal is to prevent the development of weapons or other types of threats that Iran could pose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
