Serbia is under significant pressure from the United States due to the ties of Serbian criminals and businessmen to narcotics trafficking from Colombia and Venezuela, especially following the White House\u2019s request for the urgent extradition of Serbian drug boss Antun Mrde\u017ea, Serbian Times has learned from well-informed sources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In this regard, Serbian President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 requested several days ago, through diplomatic channels, a conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2014Because of Mrde\u017ea, but also several other Serbian drug bosses and businessmen whose names are on the blacklist and arrest list of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Serbia has for some time been under heavy pressure from the U.S., our source says, adding that it is assumed this is the reason Serbia did not receive an invitation to Trump\u2019s Peace Committee, which was formed last week in Washington, our source claims.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also adds that the Trump administration has so far not presented any concrete information linking the authorities in Belgrade to the mentioned drug boss and his associates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Their suspicion is currently based on the fact that, besides Mrde\u017ea, who is currently in a Venezuelan prison, there are several individuals of Serbian origin, some of them holding Serbian passports, who are connected to drug trafficking from South America to the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
