(VIDEO)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Seven PAOK fans lost their lives on Tuesday in a traffic accident near Timi\u0219oara, Romania.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The van carrying supporters of the Thessaloniki club collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on the DN6 highway, which locals in Romania themselves call the \u201croad of death.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to local media reports, this accident is the worst to have occurred in this area in at least the past 20 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Young supporters of the Thessaloniki club were killed in the crash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The day after the accident, the Polish truck driver whose vehicle was struck by the van carrying the fans spoke out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pole is shocked by the deaths of seven Greek young men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI have been driving a truck for 34 years and I have never seen anything like this in my life. Hristos worked in various hospitality establishments to support his parents and siblings. With the money he had left over, he traveled to PAOK matches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second victim is Vachos, a Greek of Georgian origin who lives in Katerini. From a young age, he never missed matches of the \u201cDouble-Headed Eagles\u201d at the Toumba stadium, but this was the first time he had gone to an away game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three people from the \u201cvan of death\u201d were from Alexandreia, Imathia.
