The choir of Karlovac Gymnasium left the school\u2019s ceremonial hall before the start of the event celebrating the school\u2019s patron saint, Saint Sava, due to the presence of the Mayor, Dra\u017een \u0110ur\u0111i\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to citizens who attended the celebration, the choir left the hall because of the presence of representatives of the Sremski Karlovci Municipality, including Mayor Dra\u017een \u0110ur\u0111i\u0107, reports 021.rs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cRepresentatives of the Municipality and \u0110ur\u0111i\u0107 entered the ceremonial hall before the start of the Saint Sava celebration. The students immediately left the hall after they entered and went to the courtyard, where they held their performance. Only the students of the Theological School remained,\u201d stated a resident of Novi Sad who attended the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The students also addressed the incident on their Instagram profile, created during previous blockades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt the Saint Sava celebration in our school, a person arrived who has not been welcome in Karlovac Gymnasium for the past 14 months, a view shared by the majority of students. The choir of our gymnasium expressed the stance of the entire school and refused to perform in front of people who attacked us last November and December. Dra\u017een \u0110ur\u0111i\u0107, Mayor of the Municipality, you are not welcome in our school,\u201d the students of Karlovac stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It should be recalled that during the \u201cStop, Serbia\u201d action held on Fridays at 11:52 a.m., on November 29, 2024, an incident occurred at the intersection in front of Karlovac Gymnasium, with Mayor Dra\u017een \u0110ur\u0111i\u0107 present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
