<\/figure>\n\n\n\n\u201cDear friends, thank you for the award, which brings me great honor and pleasure to be among today\u2019s laureates, as well as among those who have received this recognition over the past decades. My book is a testimony to a time, to a suffering but unbowed country, to the criminal aggression of the NATO alliance and the unprecedented sanctions imposed on it, and to what a people and its inhabitants can nevertheless achieve under such conditions. It carries the message that only what we have definitively given up is lost, and that this world belongs only to those who try. In that difficult time, I was the commander of the Civil Protection of Serbia, who defended his country from NATO aggression, while at the same time performing the duty of director of a healthcare institution. Given the medical results achieved, I was recently elected a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and I promise that I will do everything to speak, in the very near future, the most beautiful language in the world, which is the Russian language,\u201d Academician Boji\u0107 said to those present upon receiving the recognition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The autobiographical work \u201cIt Was Not in Vain\u201d has been recognized by Russian critics as a significant contribution to contemporary literature that addresses issues of honor, perseverance, and shared destiny. In the explanation of the award, it is emphasized that through his work Academician Boji\u0107 affirms values that are the foundation of Slavic culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to Prof. Dr. Milovan Boji\u0107, in the category \u201cSlavic Brotherhood\u201d for fidelity to the Slavic idea, General Vladimir Lazarevi\u0107 from Belgrade was also awarded, once again confirming the high reputation of Serbian creators in the highest cultural circles of the Russian Federation. The \u201cImperial Culture\u201d Award was established in honor of Professor Eduard Volodin, one of the most significant Russian thinkers and theorists of culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every year, on December 11, the commission announces the names of those who have contributed to the preservation of Slavic culture and spirituality through their literary, scientific, or artistic work. The ceremonial award presentation was traditionally held in Moscow on the feast of Epiphany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
