U.S. President Donald Trump stated that a \u201clarge fleet\u201d of U.S. naval forces is heading toward Iran and that Washington is \u201cwatching\u201d the country closely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe have a great force that is going toward Iran. I would rather not see anything happen, we are watching them very closely\u2026 We have an armada, we have a massive fleet going in that direction,\u201d Trump told reporters last night during a flight aboard the presidential aircraft, in a video released by the White House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Trump added that he \u201cmay not have to\u201d use the fleet, and that this has not yet been determined.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Asked by reporters whether he would like Iran\u2019s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei to step down from office or go into exile, Trump said he does not want to get into that at the moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThere is a lot of killing there,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that he is not backing down from tariffs on companies that do business with Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIf you do business with Iran, you will have a 25 percent tariff,\u201d Trump said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
