In extremely cold weather conditions, the traditional swimming for the Epiphany Cross was held today on Zlatar Lake, which once again gathered a large number of believers and visitors.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Among the 15 brave participants who decided to swim in the icy water, the most skillful and fastest was twelve-year-old Ognjen Botic from Kragujevac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

-Young Ognjen was the first to reach the Holy Cross, showing exceptional courage, strength, and determination, thereby deservedly earning the title of winner of this year’s swim on Zlatar. As the most successful participant, he was also awarded a fitting prize presented by the event organizers, the organizers told RINA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The swimming for the Epiphany Cross on Zlatar Lake has been jointly organized for the 12th consecutive year by the Municipal Administration of Nova Varos, the “Zlatar” Tourist Organization, and the Church Municipality of Nova Varos, with the blessing of the Mile\u0161eva Eparchy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite the low temperatures and difficult conditions, the swimming took place in a solemn and dignified atmosphere, with the support of numerous citizens who cheered on the swimmers from the shore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
