The trial of Nina Kova\u010devi\u0107, who was sentenced at first instance to two years and ten months in prison for hitting a girl with her car near a pedestrian crossing, will be repeated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Appellate Court overturned the first-instance verdict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the court\u2019s opinion, it was not explained why the expert report of Stojan Stojanovi\u0107 was accepted, which stated that Kova\u010devi\u0107 was driving fast and on a part of the road where she was not allowed to drive, while the claim of Milan Vujani\u0107 that the girl did not make sure she could cross safely was not accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This case came into the public spotlight due to the fact that at least 16 misdemeanor proceedings had been conducted against Nina Kova\u010devi\u0107, mostly for speeding violations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
