The transport of crude oil for the oil refinery in Pan\u010devo via the Adriatic Oil Pipeline (JANAF) has started, Tanjug learns.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka \u0110edovi\u0107 Handanovi\u0107 stated earlier that today, after almost 100 days, the first crude oil via JANAF will arrive for NIS and will be delivered during this week, and that this means the Pan\u010devo Refinery will start operating around January 16 and release the first diesel from production to the market around January 26 or 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0110edovi\u0107 Handanovi\u0107 said that she expects the talks between Gazprom Neft and MOL regarding the purchase of the Russian stake in NIS to be successfully completed and for OFAC to extend the operating license for NIS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“On Tuesday morning, good news, after almost 100 days the first oil arrives via the Adriatic Oil Pipeline. That is some 85,000 tons that will be delivered during this week. This means the Pan\u010devo Refinery starts working around January 16, in any case before the end of the week. We expect the first diesel to come out of production and be on the market around January 26, 27,” said \u0110edovi\u0107 Handanovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She added that it is expected that, after those 85,000 tons, an additional 35,000-45,000 tons of oil will arrive during next week, which will all ensure, as she said, alongside domestic crude oil of which there is currently about 120,000 tons, that the refinery can continue to operate for a longer period of time even after January 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
