(VIDEO)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Is RTS, through \u201cRadio Mileva,\u201d taking the side of the \u201cblockaders,\u201d and why do tabloids think so?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The pressure so unsettled the Public Broadcaster that it began to justify itself to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In homes across Serbia these days, at exactly 8 p.m., viewers follow the adventures of a Belgrade neighborhood. Through the character of a curious pensioner who knows everyone and everything, the audience becomes acquainted with everyday problems, small dramas, and social themes that cut through the life of a Belgrade neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The series \u201cRadio Mileva,\u201d which has reached its seventh season, has for years balanced between humor and social commentary, opening questions of professional, family, and broader social relations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, some scenes from the latest episodes have provoked fierce reactions in tabloids, which accused the series, as well as Radio Television of Serbia on which it airs, of political propaganda and undermining the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cInsidious pumping on RTS\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The reactions, in a short period of time, took on the contours of a kind of media hysteria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tabloids presented television fiction as a political pamphlet and a threat to state interests, claiming that through dialogues and plotlines hidden, but also direct messages are being sent and that current protests and blockades are being supported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, \u201cInformer\u201d published that Radio Television of Serbia is \u201cinsidiously pumping a blockader-colored revolution,\u201d with the claim that in the popular series \u201cblockader propaganda has been planted like a cuckoo\u2019s egg.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-dnt=\"true\" align=\"center\"><p lang=\"sr\" dir=\"ltr\">\u0420\u0430\u0434\u0438\u043e \u041c\u0438\u043b\u0435\u0432\u0430, \u0441\u043a\u0430\u043d\u0434\u0430\u043b\u043e\u0437\u043d\u0430 \u0431\u043b\u043e\u043a\u0430\u0434\u0435\u0440\u0441\u043a\u0430 \u043f\u0440\u043e\u043f\u0430\u0433\u0430\u043d\u0434\u0430, \u0441\u0430\u0434\u0430 \u0438 \u043f\u0440\u043e\u0442\u0438\u0432 \u2018\u0411\u0435\u043e\u0433\u0440\u0430\u0434\u0430 \u043d\u0430 \u0432\u043e\u0434\u0438\u2019!?! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/YGpBIKBP1r\">pic.twitter.com\/YGpBIKBP1r<\/a><\/p>&mdash; \u0414\u0440\u0430\u0433\u0430\u043d \u0408. \u0412\u0443\u0447\u0438\u045b\u0435\u0432\u0438\u045b (@djvucicevic) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/djvucicevic\/status\/2010354615200698562?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">January 11, 2026<\/a><\/blockquote>\n<script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>\n\n\n\n<p>In the same context, they also recall the earlier case of the program \u201cImportant Things,\u201d in which a child spoke about student blockades, which tabloids also interpreted as part of the same \u201ccampaign.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Regulatory Authority for Electronic Media, let us recall, made a decision that in the mentioned episode of \u201cImportant Things\u201d there was no abuse of a child for political purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">RTS Justifies Itself to Tabloids<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) announced that the script for the episode of the series \u201cRadio Mileva\u201d that caused hysteria in pro-regime tabloids was submitted several months before the blockades began and that it cannot be a case of \u201cblockader\u201d propaganda, the FoNet agency reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe words that were characterized as disputed were uttered by Mileva\u2014played by actress Olga Odanovi\u0107, and that line is found in the script that the executive producer of the Drama and Domestic Series Program, Nira pro, submitted to the Editorial Office on August 16, 2024, at 11:15,\u201d RTS stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The statement recalls that in the allegedly disputed episode, it is about the tenants of Rankeova 12 in Belgrade receiving information that their building is slated for demolition and that, in a series of proposals put forward by the tenants in order to resolve the situation, Mileva proposes a revolution and the raising of blockades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cNo one accepts her proposal and they very quickly continue to look for solutions in line with the comedic content. The behavior of the title heroine is characteristic of her explosive character, visible in all episodes shown so far, and since the script was written and submitted before the start of the blockades, the criticisms that this is propaganda are unfounded,\u201d RTS stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As evidence, this paper cites the main heroine\u2019s line: \u201cIt\u2019s come up to my fingernails. Damn it, revolution! Demonstrations, blockades of schools, faculties, kindergartens, everything\u2026 The internet and portals, media, television, everything, social networks, public figures\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAny resemblance to real events in Serbia, by all appearances, is more than intentional,\u201d Informer concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The criticisms spread to other tabloids as well, so the daily \u201cAlo\u201d claims in its headlines that RTS \u201cis no longer hiding\u201d and that it has \u201centered the service of those who want to topple the state and the system.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The tabloids further state how much the series costs, that is, how much citizens set aside through subscription fees for such content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to blockades, Informer editor-in-chief Dragan J.
