According to reports sent to our editorial office, locals are desperate as the power outage has caused numerous problems, putting the elderly, sick, and children at risk\u2014all due to heavy snowfall, while authorities, it seems, are taking no action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Residents from the village of Kr\u017eava and surrounding areas explained in a letter to <em>Nova.rs<\/em> that they are entering the fifth day without electricity and that they were informed by the \u201cElectric Power Industry of Serbia\u201d that power will not be restored until Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cElectricity has been out since Christmas Eve. We spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in darkness and cold, without heating and without any reliable information. What is even more concerning is the information we received from Elektrodistribucija, stating that it is very possible the electricity will not be restored even by Monday.
