Tihomir Krsti\u0107 (44) was arrested today on suspicion that yesterday in New Belgrade he attempted to kill a 68-year-old woman. The investigation is being conducted by the Higher Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office in Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Kurir has learned, it is suspected that immediately after the cowardly attack the attacker went to buy drugs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The suspect yesterday around 1 p.m., in the lobby of a building, inflicted several stab wounds with a knife on the injured woman, causing her serious life-threatening injuries, after which he stole her bag and left the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T. K. has been ordered detention for up to 48 hours and he will, along with a criminal complaint, be brought before the Higher Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office in Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We remind you that the attacker from New Belgrade, according to Kurir\u2019s information, had been staying in a rented stash apartment for the past two months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we learn, the apartment is located in a quiet part of the city in Rakovica, and the police are thoroughly searching the space in search of possible evidence that could shed light on the motives and circumstances of the brutal attack that disturbed the public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
