The president of Basketball Club Partizan, Ostoja Mijailovi\u0107, is going through perhaps the most difficult period since taking charge of the black-and-whites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The club is in a deep results and organizational crisis, and fan dissatisfaction is growing day by day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A large part of the \u201cGrobari\u201d openly believes that Mijailovi\u0107 is the main culprit for the current situation, which is why calls for his resignation are becoming increasingly loud. The Partizan president has been the target of criticism, whistles, and insults for months, and the atmosphere around the club has reached a boiling point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The situation took on an additional political dimension after the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107, spoke out, at least indirectly. During one of his regular public addresses, Vu\u010di\u0107 uttered a sentence that many immediately linked precisely to Ostoja Mijailovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cYou have some people who don\u2019t dare to appear, who are in certain clubs, who don\u2019t dare to go and watch their own club. Because they are afraid of what someone might shout at them from the stands,\u201d Vu\u010di\u0107 said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Although he did not mention a name, the message was more than clear, especially at a time when it is known that the Partizan president rarely appears at games in the Arena, precisely because of the negative reaction of part of the fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Vu\u010di\u0107 then further \u201ctightened\u201d the tone, drawing a parallel between himself and the people he described, emphasizing his own courage and readiness to face pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI am at my job every day. Every day someone protests against me and shouts. And I have no problem with that. I do my job and I will continue to do so,\u201d the President of Serbia said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Such a statement was perceived as a direct blow to Ostoja Mijailovi\u0107, whom part of the public has long accused of hiding from responsibility at a moment when Partizan is sinking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The entire story is given additional weight by the fact that Mijailovi\u0107 and Vu\u010di\u0107 are politically connected \u2013 both are members of the Serbian Progressive Party. Ostoja Mijailovi\u0107 is a member of the SNS Main Board, while Vu\u010di\u0107 is formally only a party member, but with absolute political power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
