The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has issued a new license to the Petroleum Industry of Serbia, allowing negotiations on the sale of the Russian share with an extended deadline until March 24. At the same time, OFAC has not authorized NIS to conduct business operations during this period.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued the new license, which allows negotiations on the sale of the Russian share, to the company NIS with an extended deadline until March 24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OFAC has not authorized NIS to conduct business operations during this period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

President Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 said today that the extension of the license for negotiations to the Russian side until March 24 does not mean much to Serbia, because the supply problem must be solved quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vu\u010di\u0107 previously stated that Serbia is rapidly importing fuel and that there is enough of it at least until January 15, and perhaps until January 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka \u0110edovi\u0107 Handanovi\u0107 said that the relevant ministry and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as the President of Serbia, have led an intensive diplomatic struggle this year and won as many as eight license extensions for the work of the Petroleum Industry of Serbia and that they will continue to conduct diplomatic talks to find an acceptable solution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than two months have passed since the beginning of American sanctions against the Petroleum Industry of Serbia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The oil refinery in Pan\u010devo stopped refining crude oil on November 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
