Based on 100 percent of the established results of the early elections for the President of Republika Srpska, the SNSD candidate Sini\u0161a Karan won 222,182 votes, or 50.39 percent, and the SDS candidate Branko Blanu\u0161a won 212,605 votes, or 48.22 percent.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sini\u0161a Karan increased his lead to 9,577 votes over Branko Blanu\u0161a, RTRS reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The candidate of the Alliance for a New Policy, Dragan \u0110okanovi\u0107, won 2,018, or 0.46 percent of the votes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nikola Lazarevi\u0107 from the Ecological Party of Republika Srpska won 1,698 votes or 0.39 percent, independent candidate Igor Ga\u0161evi\u0107 1,353 or 0.31 percent, while independent candidate Slavko Dragi\u010devi\u0107 won 1,066 votes or 0.24 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to CIK data, out of 1,264,366 registered voters, 449,376 voters, or 35.54 percent, exercised their right to vote in the elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were 440,922 valid ballots, or 98.12 percent, 850 blank ballots, or 0.19 percent, while invalid ballots according to other criteria amounted to 7,604, or 1.69 percent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier today, CIK adopted a decision on determining and publishing the results of the early elections, and after the adoption of this decision, a request for recounting of ballots can be submitted within 72 hours from the day of the publication of the results, as well as an objection to the accuracy of the published results within 24 hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This decision is not final and a process of submitting appeals will likely follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, an order was issued for the recounting of ballots from polling stations in Lakta\u0161i (16 polling stations), Doboj (20), Zvornik (18), Bratunac (1), Gacko (1) and Bile\u0107a (1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recount will be done according to the dynamics determined by the counting center, CIK stated, Tanjug reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
