Thanks to numerous initiatives by the Consul General of the Republic of Serbia in New York, Dr. Vladimir Bo\u017eovi\u0107, the Serbian representation in New York is often host to various interesting events.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, interesting programs are taking place these months right there on the famous Manhattan, in the heart of the largest American city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Student Summit was held these days on the premises of the Consulate General in New York, bringing together numerous American and Serbian students from New York universities such as Fordham, Columbia, Cornell, and others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was dedicated to mutual acquaintance and the advancement of understanding and cooperation, building new friendships, and presenting Serbia and its cultural and historical heritage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gathering was officially opened by Consul General Dr. Vladimir Bo\u017eovi\u0107, who greeted the participants and highlighted the importance of initiatives that encourage academic, cultural, and mutual cooperation among young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The attending students were also greeted by Lazar Paro\u0161ki, President of OSSI in the USA, Nikola Bato\u0107anin, a student at Fordham University, as well as Mohamed Ali and Boris Gurov, students at Columbia University. The event provided an opportunity for students to exchange experiences, ideas, and establish new contacts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artistic program included musical performances by flutist Mina \u0160ukovi\u0107 and composer Milo\u0161 Rai\u010dkovi\u0107 on the frula (a traditional Serbian flute). This presented authentic elements of Serbian musical tradition. After the official part of the program, the participants continued socializing with music, enjoying Serbian cuisine specialties, in a pleasant atmosphere that encouraged introductions and the exchange of experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The holding of the Student Summit demonstrated the importance of initiatives that allow young people from different academic backgrounds to get acquainted with Serbia, its culture and tradition, and to connect with their Serbian colleagues studying in the United States of America.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consul General Vladimir Bo\u017eovi\u0107 emphasizes that the Consulate General of the Republic of Serbia in New York will continue to support and promote programs that contribute to strengthening the cultural and educational ties between Serbia and the USA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
