The players of Crvena Zvezda (Red Star) won 1-0 (0-0) against Sturm in Graz in the sixth round of the Europa League group stage.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only goalscorer in the match was Mirko Ivani\u0107 in the 55th minute after an excellently executed corner kick by Timi Max El\u0161nik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The match started with chances on both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, the hosts threatened in the third minute through Jatta, but the Sturm attacker shot wide of Mateus’s goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just two minutes later, the visitors had an excellent opportunity, but El\u0161nik shot poorly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five minutes later, Arnautovi\u0107 was fouled on the edge of the penalty area, but Milson shot directly into the wall from the free kick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the 34th minute, we record the first shot on target for the home team, and six minutes later they had a great chance, but Rodrigao stood out with a fantastic save.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the very beginning of the second half, Zvezda had a great opportunity, but Bruno Duarte shot weakly from the penalty spot height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, VAR reacted, and Silwestrzak realized the mistake after watching the slow-motion replay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He changed the original decision and awarded a foul to the Belgrade club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until the end of the match, we watched Sturm’s attacks, but they were quite fruitless, so the visitors deservedly took three points from the match in Graz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zvezda is currently in 12th place in the Europa League table with 10 points and is very close to qualifying for the play-offs of the European competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Europa League continues on January 22, and two rounds remain until the end of the league part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zvezda’s next match is away against Malm\u00f6, while Sturm visits Feyenoord in Rotterdam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
