The Serbian kickboxing national team achieved major success at the Senior World Championship in Abu Dhabi, winning eight medals. Our best kickboxers returned from the global competition with three golds, two silvers, and three bronzes. The brightest honors were claimed by Nikola Todorovi\u0107 (81kg) in the K1 discipline, Aleksandra Rapai\u0107 (70kg), and Lea Blagojevi\u0107 (+70kg) in the low-kick discipline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Silver medals were won by Aleksandra Krsti\u0107 (70kg) in K1 and Veljko Mi\u0107ovi\u0107 (81kg) in full-contact, while bronze went to Boban Nikoli\u0107 (57kg) in low-kick, Milana Bjelogrli\u0107 (65kg) in K1, and Teodora Vidi\u0107 (65kg) in full-contact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The head coach of the Serbian kickboxing national team, Sini\u0161a Vladimirovi\u0107, expressed great satisfaction with the results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe World Championship was extremely difficult and exhausting. A record number of competitors participated \u2014 around 2,000 kickboxers from all over the world \u2014 and the competition was truly fierce. We hoped for such results and this number of medals, knowing how challenging it would be to reach any of the podium positions, because each category had about fifteen and often more than 20 athletes<\/em>,\u201d said Vladimirovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He praised all Serbian representatives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cEvery single one of them fought exceptionally and gave their maximum at this moment. We remain saddened that Damjan Memedovski, due to a severe virus he contracted upon arrival in Abu Dhabi, could not compete in the low-kick discipline. I also owe special gratitude to the national team coaches Dejan Pavi\u0107, Milo\u0161 Milutinov, and Vladimir Bogovi\u0107, who motivated the athletes and truly invested great effort in every match to provide our competitors with the necessary support<\/em>,\u201d Vladimirovi\u0107 concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
