The water is sprinkled around the house, the yard, and the stable as protection from illness and misfortune. It was believed that this water had special blessing, because according to tradition the saint prayed for a long time in the solitude of the mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Even today, many believers observe this day simply \u2014 with a prayer for peace in the home, for the health of their children, and for release from fears and worries.
