The spokeswoman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Maria Zakharova, stated on Friday that she rejects the possibility that Russian soldiers, who gave their heart for the Serbian brothers, would be killed by Serbian weapons, after the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107, announced that buyers of ammunition produced in Serbia can do whatever they want with it.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I refuse even to consider the possibility that Russian soldiers, who have historically given their heart, in every sense of the word, given their lives or shown their love and devotion to their Serbian brothers, would be defeated or killed by Serbian weapons, ammunition, shells,” Zakharova said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Economic problems forced Aleksandar Vu\u010di\u0107 to change his position from May of this year, that there would be no export of ammunition to war regions. At the same time, the export of ammunition that ends up in Ukraine is compensation that the regime in Serbia pays to the West for not imposing sanctions on Russia, while the power of this country in the Balkans is weakening, according to N1’s interlocutors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zakharova also pointed out that when she listens to President Vu\u010di\u0107’s interviews, she is not sure whether it is one or more people, because some of his statements are heard in Moscow, and others in interviews from other geographical locations, and that Moscow has repeatedly received assurances from the Serbian leadership that the export of ammunition produced in Serbia is under strict control and that these products “will not be delivered to Ukraine” so that Kyiv does not use them against Russian soldiers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“I will just remind you who these soldiers are. These are soldiers who belong to those Armed Forces who have repeatedly come to the aid, historically and in the modern period, precisely of the friendly Serbian people,” Maria Zakharova said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zakharova emphasized that this must never happen, and she starts from the premise that Belgrade will strictly adhere to the promises given.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“These promises were not given only to certain people, a certain country. These promises were given by the president of an independent, sovereign state elected by the people. They were not addressed to anyone specifically, but declared as the position of the legally elected president who expresses the will of his people,” Maria Zakharova said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zakharova left open the possibility that “the media twisted something,” but believes that there should then be some clarification from the relevant press service of the President of Serbia, which should clarify whether everything was correctly quoted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
