Bogdan Bogdanovi\u0107, captain of the Serbian national basketball team, spoke out in defense of Dijana Hrka, who was provoked by the \u201cresidents of \u0106acilend.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The famous Serbian basketball player shared a post on Instagram dedicated to the mother who lost her child in the collapse of the canopy in Novi Sad on November 1 last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since then, Dijana Hrka has been fighting for justice, seeking accountability for one of the greatest tragedies in Serbia, and a huge number of people across the country have stood by her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen someone mocks another\u2019s pain, they do not show strength but emptiness. A mother who has lost her child has the right to fight and to have her voice heard, and all of us should be her support. Even if we cannot understand, the least we can do as human beings is to remain silent with respect. A mother\u2019s pain should NEVER be a subject of ridicule, but rather a test of humanity for each of us,\u201d reads the caption of the post titled \u201cA mother\u2019s pain must not be a subject of mockery,\u201d which Bogdanovi\u0107 shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bogdan also added the song \u201cCveta tre\u0161nja,\u201d performed by Anica Dobra and the \u201cLOLA\u201d choir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dijana Hrka has been on a hunger strike for days in front of the National Assembly in Belgrade, where the now (in)famous \u0106acilend is located, inhabited by supporters and sympathizers of the Serbian Progressive Party. The other night, in front of Dijana, they played the song \u201cMorem plovi jedna mala barka,\u201d which contains the verse: \u201cA mother set out to search for her son.\u201d Is there anything more to say about their behavior?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every day, a large number of people stand by Mrs. Hrka \u2014 people who have been fighting for months, even years, for a better and fairer Serbia, where everyone will, to begin with, be held accountable before the law for their (mis)deeds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Let us remind you, Bogdanovi\u0107 has long and repeatedly supported students in their fight for truth, justice, and freedom\u2026 He has shown support for protests across Serbia, and now he stands with Dijana Hrka \u2013 that\u2019s how the captain of Serbia does it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
