Police reinforcements, specifically the riot police brigade, have arrived in front of the Serbian Parliament, where Dijana Hrka, the mother of Stefan Hrka\u2014one of the 16 victims of the canopy collapse at the Novi Sad Railway Station\u2014has been on a hunger strike since this morning.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hrka is shouting at the police: “Look me in the eyes, lower your shields<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A large number of people have arrived in front of the parliament, specifically near \u0106aciland<\/strong>, as it is impossible for anyone to approach the Parliament building itself. They are shouting in support: “Dijana<\/strong>” and the derogatory insult, “Vu\u010di\u0107u, \u0160iptare<\/strong>” (Vu\u010di\u0107, Albanian).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They are also shouting at the police: “Go to Kosovo<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The citizens are also shouting “Ua<\/strong>” (Boo) and “Pumpaj<\/strong>” (Pump it up), as well as “Ko ne ska\u010de, taj je \u0106aci<\/strong>” (Whoever doesn’t jump is \u0106aci) and “Mama vi\u0161e voli Andreja<\/strong>” (Mom loves Andrej more).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An N1 reporter also witnessed a group of older citizens attempting to climb over the fence that prevents Hrka and others from approaching the Parliament. When they failed, they tried to contact someone on the phone who was apparently giving them instructions, according to the reporter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The location of the bus, which the carrier Milomir Jani\u0107ijevi\u0107 used to bring Ni\u0161 students from Novi Sad to \u0106aciland, is unknown. It was initially reported that the bus was near the Theological Seminary (Bogoslovija<\/em>), but members of the Old Town Assembly (Zbor Stari grad<\/em>) and bikers, who are looking for it, told N1 that it is not there, nor is it at the Main Bus Station in New Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are about 40 students who were on the bus in front of the parliament, with all their belongings locked inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dijana Hrka also used a megaphone to ask for the bus to be unlocked so that the students could retrieve their belongings, the N1 reporter states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
