{"id":191748,"date":"2025-11-01T15:11:33","date_gmt":"2025-11-01T13:11:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/?p=191748"},"modified":"2025-11-01T15:11:34","modified_gmt":"2025-11-01T13:11:34","slug":"and-on-the-anniversary-of-the-canopy-collapse-indictment-confirmed-against-members-of-the-commission-that-inspected-the-railway-station-in-novi-sad","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/en\/and-on-the-anniversary-of-the-canopy-collapse-indictment-confirmed-against-members-of-the-commission-that-inspected-the-railway-station-in-novi-sad\/","title":{"rendered":"AND ON THE ANNIVERSARY OF THE CANOPY COLLAPSE: Indictment confirmed against members of the commission that inspected the Railway Station in Novi Sad!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>An indictment has been filed against the manager of Serbian Railways Infrastructure and two members of the Technical Inspection Commission for the Railway Station in Novi Sad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As it has been learned, the court yesterday, in the process of reconsideration by order of the Court of Appeals, issued a first-instance decision confirming this indictment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The indictment charges Slobodanka K., Investment Development Manager at AD \u201cInfrastruktura \u017deleznica Srbije\u201d based in Belgrade, the President of the Technical Inspection Commission Milutin S., and Commission member Biljana K., in connection with the commission of several criminal offenses with elements of corruption, which resulted in the collapse of the canopy at the Railway Station on November 1, 2024, in which 16 people lost their lives and two were seriously injured.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The indictment against them was raised because there is reasonable suspicion that their omissions contributed to and were causally linked to the mentioned tragedy, as they, had they acted conscientiously and performed the duty of extraordinary inspection as well as checked compliance during the trial operation, could have visually noticed signs of fracture and increased deflection of the canopy in the days preceding its collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-wp-embed is-provider-serbiantimes-info wp-block-embed-serbiantimes-info\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"wp-embedded-content\" data-secret=\"LiQmn5CRW0\"><a href=\"https:\/\/serbiantimes.info\/srbija-trazi-pravdu-spisak-najvaznijih-dogadjaja-u-prethodnih-365-dana-studenti-pokrenuli-narodni-bunt\/\">SRBIJA TRA\u017dI PRAVDU: Spisak najva\u017enijih doga\u0111aja u  prethodnih 365 dana, studenti pokrenuli narodni bunt!<\/a><\/blockquote><iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-embedded-content\" sandbox=\"allow-scripts\" security=\"restricted\" style=\"position: absolute;
