Among them is actor Had\u017ei Nenad Mari\u010di\u0107, who says that even when everything started, on the first day of the blockade, he said that he \u201cknows this generation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI\u2019ve worked with students for a long time, I know that this generation is uncompromising and will go all the way, to victory. That has been recorded, I was sure that both the time and the citizens felt the need to fight to the end, because this chaos we\u2019ve fallen into must end as soon as possible. Every segment of society has a problem, and I think it\u2019s time for change,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As he adds, \u201cit\u2019s not just about November 1.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s also about this walk, the efforts of the entire society to reach some peaceful solution. Through their actions and strategy, students have shown that they do not want violence, that this is a nonviolent struggle. Anyone who would cause an incident in Novi Sad would clearly be sent by the other side. We\u2019ve already seen violence from their side\u2014let\u2019s remember the brutal beatings and unnecessary use of police force,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is convinced that the gathering will remain peaceful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI hope there will be no provocations. If there are any, those responsible will be the same ones who have been spreading hatred and inciting violence on the streets for the past year,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also says this is his second walk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cMy grandfather walked from Germany to Ivanjica after the camp in \u201945, so why wouldn\u2019t I walk? Here I feel freedom and a sense that we are doing something good. We\u2019re not endangering anyone\u2014just look how many citizens come out to the streets, their eyes full of tears and support for these young people and for everyone who is fighting,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
