During the execution of regular training jumps, at the “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrovi\u0107” military airport in Ni\u0161, a member of the 63rd Parachute Brigade, Corporal Luka Stojanovi\u0107, died, the Ministry of Defense announced.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Corporal Stojanovi\u0107 was born on July 24, 2004, in Ni\u0161, and had been serving in the Serbian Armed Forces, as a paratrooper in the 63rd Parachute Brigade, since August 1, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Military police bodies came to the scene, and the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Ni\u0161 was informed about the event in accordance with the law. The investigation is underway. The Chief of the General Staff has formed a commission tasked with determining all the circumstances of this extraordinary event,” the ministry announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister of Defense Bratislav Ga\u0161i\u0107 and the Chief of the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilovi\u0107 sent telegrams of condolence to the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
