A mural dedicated to Novak \u0110okovi\u0107, located in the center of Belgrade, was covered in black paint.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The work of the artist and activist Andrej Josifovski, known as Pijanista, was inspired by Novak’s famous “pumping” during this year’s Wimbledon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mural depicting \u0110okovi\u0107 in the moment of his characteristic gesticulation and energy boost, featured the inscription:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“PUMP, PUMP, why did you stop!?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the night between Monday and Tuesday, an unknown person poured black paint over the mural, and the author Andrej Josifovski spoke out about the incident on social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Imagine that great ‘patriot’ in an orange jacket with a cap, sneaking around at night, then stopping in front of Novak (HEY NOVAK!) – looking him in the eye and splattering paint on his face and body. This is that fine ‘Serbian’ youth from the cage who wants to learn to draw graffiti. We conquered the top of the bottom a long time ago, but we continue into the stratosphere. Don’t worry, my brother @djokernole – retaliation follows, but without a mask, in the middle of the day, the way we do it,” Josifovski wrote along with a photo of the damaged mural.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
